Happy Shakespeare Day! William Shakespeare is one of my all time favourite writers, so I just had to mark the day to celebrate! There are so many Shakespeare plays that I love and my favourite is Othello.

Weekend plans…listening to TTPD on repeat and finishing my #currentread If Beale Street Could Talk, which I’ve shamefully had on my shelf since @awriterreads gave it to me for my birthday in 2020! I have a really bad habit of saving special books, but I guess reading it in the year of James Baldwin’s centenary year was a pretty good time to save it for reading! 😄

Remembering our friend @theclubofbooks today on her anniversary. I still miss Amena and these are just some of the books and authors that always make me think of her. I was able to reminisce about Amena with @beth.bonini when we caught up in London recently and it was nice to remember her and our get togethers in Hay-on-Wye. Sometimes Bookstagram can seem like a separate world from everything else, so it feels special to have those real life connections and friendships that bring us all together. It’s definitely something that I treasure and am grateful for always. ❤️
